Role Overview
An AWS Cloud Support Engineer provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for AWS services and infrastructure. This role focuses on helping customers resolve issues, optimize cloud resources, and maintain secure, reliable environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Respond to customer queries via email, chat, or phone regarding AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, security, and performance.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Management:
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve customer cases.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
- Infrastructure Monitoring:
- Monitor AWS environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
- Assist in implementing best practices for resource utilization.
- Automation & Documentation:
- Maintain scripts for routine tasks (e.g., backups, patching).
- Document solutions and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
- Customer Communication:
- Drive communication during critical events and provide timely updates.
- Explain technical concepts to customers with varying technical backgrounds.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on new AWS services and features.
- Work toward AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate).
