- Fault Management L2 is responsible for Configuration management, trouble shooting, and technical support for the Vodafone Australia, Operation & troubleshooting.
- Handling Vendors & on call Technical support to field team.
- Cross functional L2 support to Operations teams.
- Handling transmission faults & resolving TT assigned to respective domains
- Escalates the Fault details to customer, where third party involvement is required to fix the issue permanently.
- Develop other team members to enhance their technical expertise
Technical Skill required:
- Working knowledge of Multi-Vendor Microwave link configuration & build (SIEA, Huawei, Ericsson & Nokia is preference).
- 3+ years’ experience in telecommunications or related industry.
- Working knowledge of Multi- Vendor Network Management System & Element Management Systemx
- Hands on experience in DWDM network Fault management system (Nokia: 1830 PSS-32,1830 PSS-16II,1830 PSS-8X & Huawei DWDM 8800, 1800 nodes are preferable)
- Configuring and Troubleshooting of DWDM services (WDM, OTN services).
- Knowledge on IP/MPLS network deployment and Technical issue troubleshooting
- knowledge on Router Hardware architecture and its card functions (Nokia SR 7750, 7250&7210 & Huawei CX 600 product are preferable).
- Configuring and Troubleshooting knowledge on network structure like L2VPN & L3VPN IP and Subnetting, Gigabit Ethernet, Duplex mode, MTU, Flow Control, Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), MPLS TE & Traffic migration and Load balancing
- Configuring and Troubleshooting knowledge on Dynamic protocols like BGP/OSPF/ ISIS, segment routing etc..
- Excellent understanding of field issues and troubleshooting methods
- Good knowledge in Radio Protocols.
- CCNA Certification will be added advantage.
