Position: Field Engineer SDWAN
Work experience:2 to 5 years
Responsibilities
- Candidate should Familiarity with various WAN technologies including MPLS, RF, and 4G. Knowledge of WAN optimization techniques and technologies.
- Candidate should be able to upgrade OS of CPE router & enable telnet by providing WAN for both links RF+4G.
- Candidate Should be able to configure LAN IP/GW/Mask & ping 3 server IP’s from laptop.
- Pick up the router material from warehouse.
- Verify power and earthing parameters at each site.
- Installation of SDWAN router at customer end as per the SOP’s
- SDWAN router Configuration and on-boarding (with dual connectivity)
- Traffic Migration from existing MPLS to SDWAN router
- Services and Redundancy testing
- Coordination with Noc team / Customer / SD Lead / Testing Team for downtime, activity plan and services migration to SDWAN as per provided downtime window.
- Coordination for Connectivity with SPOC for WAN IP details and conduct link testing.
- IR signoff from customer
- Recovery and submission of old (MPLS) router to SCM team with required documents.
- Ensure the capture of snapshots for all ping responses during the testing phases.
Qualifications:
- Basic networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA).
- Candidate must be Graduate.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Skills:
- Networking fundamentals and router configurations.
- WAN technologies and troubleshooting.
- Remote configuration using tools like Anydesk.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of WAN optimization techniques and technologies.
- Prior experience in SDWAN deployments is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Technical proficiency in router configuration, OS upgrades, and network testing.
- Proven experience in network migration and router onboarding.
